We have plenty of choices when it comes to accommodation. Luxury resorts like Soneva Fushi and Gili Lankanfushi offer overwater bungalows with private pools. Prices range from $500 to $5,000 per night. For a budget-friendly stay, guesthouses on islands like Maafushi and Thoddoo cost between $50 and $150 per night, providing an authentic Maldivian experience.

How to Get There and Getting Around

Velana International Airport (MLE) in Male connects the Maldives to major cities. From there, we can take seaplanes ($300–$700) to reach remote resorts, speedboats ($25–$100) for nearby islands, or ferries ($2–$5) for budget travel.

What to Do: Beyond the Beaches

The Maldives offers more than just sunbathing. Snorkeling and diving at Banana Reef or Maaya Thila let us swim with manta rays and sea turtles. Dolphin-watching cruises at sunset are unforgettable. We can also visit Male to explore the local fish market and historic Hukuru Miskiy Mosque.

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit is from November to April, when the weather is dry and the sea is calm. The rainy season from May to October offers fewer crowds and lower prices, though occasional showers occur.
