1.Playa de Levante o la Fossa

A family vacation at this beach would be fantastic. Very quiet beach in a beautiful location with lots of amenities and restaurants on the promenade next to it. Great walks along the beach and Calpe Old Town with views of the Rock of Calpe.

It's lovely to wander along the water; every day about 4 p.m., fishing boats arrive and fish are sold. Walk around the lake, see flamingos around the large rocks, and watch people climb and abseil down.

It is sunny all day. It is a lovely, clean, sandy beach, raked and cleaned daily. The longer of the two main beaches in Calpe, it has a really safe, pleasant family atmosphere with lovely shallow water ideal for paddling and keeping cool—loads of restaurants and snack shops right along the length of it.

4. Cala De Calpe

Calpe's principal beach is surrounded by a broad promenade. Quieter than neighbouring Benidorm. The beach is carefully maintained by the local authority, which sweeps it daily. Just such a gorgeous sweeping arc of a bay, with rocky outcrops further up and dropping to the sheltered beach, the maritime promenade on one side and the blue Mediterranean on the other. The promenade walkway, like the beach and its sands, is immaculately clean. Definitely worth staying here.

5. Banos de la Reina

The rocky pools, which are located close to the port area at the end of the promenade, don't seem very noteworthy until you read the information board about their history. In essence, the pools were connected and used to store fish until they were needed for consumption. They also served as a sort of "attraction" for the Romans who lived nearby, allowing them to observe examples of the marine life that was collected in the bay.

It's worthwhile for people who are curious to pay a quick visit while walking down the promenade or to schedule a visit for a closer look.
